Atrium Health Foundation has been awarded a $749,000 grant from The Duke Endowment to evaluate best practices for expanding the Atrium Health Hospital at Home program. The gift represents the first major grant for a joint project with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist and showcases Atrium Health in its role as a Learning Health System.
The Hospital at Home program provides hospital-level care to patients from the safety and comfort of their homes through virtual, paramedicine, and telemedicine resources that reduce unnecessary inpatient admissions. With grant support from The Duke Endowment, the program will be among the first in the nation to provide a roadmap for advancing Hospital at Home as a sustainable, value-focused standard of care for patient services.
