About the Professional Advisory Council

The Professional Advisory Council (PAC) was established in 2019 to support Atrium Health Foundation’s planned giving program. The Council, which is currently made up of 17 distinguished professionals, offers financial and estate planning expertise to individuals who are interested in making a legacy gift to one of the nearly 300 charitable funds established at the Foundation. Each Council member serves a three-year term and acts as an important advocate for Atrium Health throughout our communities.

Introducing PAC Member Leah Maybry, CFA

As a partner in the Charlotte office of SignatureFD, Leah provides comprehensive financial planning, tax, and consulting services to her clients. Leah works with a wide array of clients, including professional athletes, corporate executives, entrepreneurs, and wealthy families, serving their financial and tax planning needs. She has a special affinity for the elderly and those families that have generational planning needs. Prior to joining SignatureFD, Leah spent 10 years in the Big Four accounting firms, serving at KPMG and Deloitte, and eight years at Elliott Davis, where she became a partner in 2014.

Leah’s interest in joining Atrium Health Foundation’s PAC comes from her own experience with Atrium Health. “I had three babies there!” shared Leah. Since becoming a member of the PAC, Leah has enjoyed learning more about Atrium Health Foundation’s mission and is dedicated to helping to raise awareness throughout the community,” she explains. Further, “I have been very impressed with everything the Foundation is doing to improve healthcare in our city and beyond, including developing the vision for the Levine Cancer Institute and helping to facilitate the Wake Forest Medical School’s move to Charlotte.”

In addition to serving on the PAC, Leah keeps herself busy as a member of Women Executives, the Charlotte Estate Planning Council, the Queens University Estate Planners Day Steering Committee, Matthews Presbyterian Church, Dress for Success Charlotte, and Alexander Youth Network. In her free time, Leah can be found outside, running, biking, or camping with her family.
