On a sunny morning in May, hundreds of runners and supporters gathered at the Arboretum Shopping Center in South Charlotte for the 8th Annual Miles Against Melanoma 5K. With plenty of sunscreen and protective hats, participants hit the streets to raise awareness about melanoma and funds to support the cutting-edge research and patient care provided at Levine Cancer Institute. Thanks to the runners, survivors and sponsors who joined in, the Miles Against Melanoma 5K raised more than $33,000 for the Melanoma Immunotherapy Fund.
