Hospice of Union County’s 21st Annual “Griffin Motor Company” Golf Tournament helps those near end of life.

Union County, NC May 19, 2017—Organizers of Hospice of Union County’s 21st Annual “Griffin Motor Company” Golf Tournament are proud to announce that this year’s event raised over $167,300. This is the largest amount raised in the organization’s history and more than six times of the $26,000 raised in 1997 during the tournament’s first year.

Over the last 20 years, the tournament has raised nearly $1.8 million. Funds from the golf tournament go toward end-of-life patient services at Hospice of Union County and are managed by the Community Advisory board.

“This event’s attendance and support from the community increases every year,” said Lyndsey Kraynock, Development Manager at Hospice of Union County. “Hospice of Union County is so thankful for the continued support from our sponsors, golfers, staff, volunteers and board members who participate, and the patient families who support in remembrance of the loved ones we’ve served.”
