Today, surrounded by grateful patient-families, members of the Levine Children’s Family Advisory Council, Atrium Health Teammates, and representatives of local HVAC and plumbing company Morris-Jenkins, Atrium Health Foundation celebrated the official launch of the Levine Children’s mobile app, powered by a tremendous gift from Morris-Jenkins and thanks in large part to owner Dewey Jenkins, who also chairs the Levine Children’s Hospital’s Board of Ambassadors.

In keeping with Atrium Health’s patient-first approach to care, Atrium’s Information Services team, headed up by Pam Landis, VP of Information Services, and the Goodwin Design Group incorporated valuable recommendations from former and current patient-families who comprise the hospital’s Family Advisory Council, bringing their ideas to life through a multifaceted, engaging and informative mobile app that will undoubtedly improve patients’ experiences at Levine Children’s for years to come.

During the celebration, attendees had the pleasure of hearing from Family Advisory Council Co-Chair Rae Copp, who expressed her deep thanks to the many individuals who brought this unique project to fruition. Rae, whose own child is treated at Levine Children’s Hospital, as well as newcomers to the hospital, will benefit from the app’s many features such as preparation tips for hospital stays, FAQs, kid-friendly activities (featuring Morris-Jenkins’ Percy the Duck), in-hospital and local way-finding, and even tools for grateful patient-families to give back in thanks for the care they’ve received.

With this latest gift, Dewey Jenkins and the entire Morris-Jenkins family demonstrate their ongoing commitment to our hospital, and most importantly, to our patients. Having supported many facets of the hospital, from end-of-chemotherapy celebrations to commissioning one-of-a-kind murals to beautify the hospital, and contributing to the creation of the hospital’s Seacrest Studios, Morris-Jenkins continues to help Levine Children’s create the best environments for our patients and families, for which we are grateful.

The Levine Children’s mobile app is now available for both iOS and Android devices in the Apple and Google Play stores.
