Angela (pictured above, center) has stage IV-B Dual Ovarian and Endometrial Cancer. But in the 7(+) years since she was first diagnosed, she’s been more than a patient—she’s been a fighter, a survivor, and an advocate for women’s health. She remarks, “My body is getting tired, but my spirit is still strong.” It is her fighting spirit that has led Angela to become a dedicated volunteer for the Stiletto Sprint, the signature fundraising initiative for the Carolinas Ovarian Cancer Fund at Levine Cancer Institute.

Group with me 2For Angela, the Stiletto Sprint represents a celebration of hope in her life – hope that researchers will develop new treatments and medications to fight ovarian cancer, with fewer side effects for patients. The Stiletto Sprint is also an outlet for Angela and a safe, supportive environment in which she can be uplifted by other survivors, and have a little fun in the process!  This will be Angela’s fourth year to volunteer for the Stiletto Sprint. We are grateful to her for her support and dedication. Go to http://TealHeels.org/ today to support Angela’s “Celebration of Hope!” by registering to sprint, supporting Angela’s Stiletto Sprint fundraising team (Angela’s Angel Wingshttp://bit.ly/2bzZUxQ), or by making a direct-donation to the Sprint.
