Introducing the Young Ambassadors Program

For more than a decade, Atrium Health’s Young Ambassadors program has celebrated kids and teens who are making an extraordinary impact in the lives of Atrium Health patients through philanthropy. From youth-organized lemonade stands, to bake sales, and birthday donations, our young ambassadors’ selfless service and ingenuity deserve our thanks and recognition.

For any aspiring Young Ambassadors, you also can make a difference by donating funds or organizing fundraising events to support patients of all ages and backgrounds at Atrium Health. We want to hear from you! What are your fundraising plans and goals this year? What are your hopes and dreams for patients of Atrium Health? We want YOU to be part of our next annual Young Ambassadors celebration.

To become an Atrium Health Young Ambassador, or to refer a child or teen who has demonstrated Young Ambassador qualities, contact Kayla Baker at Kayla.Baker@atriumhealth.org.

Virtual Fundraising Ideas:

Virtual Auction:

Encourage your child to join his/her friends or siblings in running a “silent auction” using one of our personal fundraising pages and to create one-of-a-kind auction items themselves. Parents, grandparents, and neighbors will love bidding on art projects created by their own children! Start an online fundraising page now.

Online T-shirt design contest:

Host an online-only t-shirt design contest, starting by creating your personal fundraising page. Post pictures of t-shirt design submissions from your kids, neighbors, and friends on your fundraising page and ask for donations as “votes” ($1=1 vote). The shirt with the most votes wins! (Donors can specify their vote in the comments section on your fundraising page.) All proceeds go back to the Atrium Health area of need that you choose as the fundraising page owner. Feature the winning design on social media and on your fundraising page.

Host a “Virtual” (Zoom, Skype, FaceTime) Talent Show

Have your child set up a personal fundraising page in a few simple steps. Every $5 donated on his/her page = a ticket to the talent show they will put on from the comfort of your home for the enjoyment of grandparents, neighbors, friends, and more, watching from your streaming service of choice: Facebook Live, Zoom, Skype, FaceTime, and so on. Make it a family-affair, with all participants on the call showing their very best talent for the group! Every “ticket sold” to your virtual talent show will support the area you designate at Atrium Health, using our personal fundraising platform.
