Plan a Gift or Bequest

There are many ways to donate to Atrium Health Foundation, which supports the programs and services of Atrium Health.

The most common ways to give are through checks and online donations.

However, some individuals may wish to donate in other ways, and Atrium Health Foundation is ready to assist them in achieving their tax, estate planning and charitable-giving objectives. Many of these giving strategies are complicated and should be employed in consultation with legal experts, tax planners or financial advisers.

Some of the assets we are able to accept include:

• Appreciated securities, such as stocks and mutual funds
• Closely held stock
• Real estate, such as personal residences, vacation homes, agricultural land, commercial properties and undeveloped land
• Life-insurance policies
• Estate gifts, including charitable lead trusts, bequests in wills (including residuary and contingent bequests), testamentary trusts and retirement plan assets
• Life-income gifts, such as charitable remainder trusts and life estate agreements
