On Saturday, February 15, the Venus Chapter of the Daughters of Penelope held its popular Queen of Hearts High Tea benefiting Levine Cancer Institute. The Daughters of Penelope recently pledged $50,000 to support breast cancer patient care and research programs at Levine Cancer Institute. With an attendance of over 250, this year’s event raised $10,000. Moira Quinn, Sr. VP for Charlotte City Center Partners, shared her experience as a breast cancer survivor and Levine Cancer Institute patient. In addition, Dr. Terry Sarantou of Levine Cancer Institute provided an update on breast cancer treatment and research.
