As we all know, kids like to play. But sometimes play can result in injuries at home, on the playground, or at the ballpark. Physicians at Levine Children’s Hospital have found pediatric elbow fractures to be among the most common injuries seen in children’s orthopaedics. A generous gift of $50,000 from the George W. and Ruth R. Baxter Foundation will advance a pilot study led by Brian Scannell, MD, Assistant Professor of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery, involving novel use of technology that may prevent catastrophic outcomes for orthopaedic patients at Levine Children’s Hospital.
