Charlotte Catholic High School hosts “Cougars 4 a Cure”

February 6, 2015 | 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm

The Charlotte Catholic High School (CCHS) basketball program is partnering with 5MPOWER, a family foundation focused on empowering charitable organizations in the Carolinas, to raise funds for the Carolinas Bladder Cancer Fund at Carolinas HealthCare System’s Levine Cancer Institute. Now in its second year, this fundraising initiative is organized under the banner of “Cougars 4 a Cure”. The Carolinas Bladder Cancer Fund is used to support innovative bladder cancer research projects and tissue banking efforts by Levine Cancer Institute physicians and researchers.

On February 6, 2015, Charlotte Catholic High School’s basketball program, students, and spectators will participate in a “red sea event”—all teams will be dressed in red warm-up shirts and socks to represent the Cougars 4 a Cure fundraising initiative. Charlotte Catholic High School encourages students and spectators to participate by purchasing and wearing the same red Cougars 4 a Cure t-shirts during the February 6th game. These shirts will be available at CCHS prior to the event and outside of the gym on game night. For questions, please contact (student) Matthew Salvino or Coach Mike King at 704-543-1127.
