Make holiday shopping meaningful by gifting a Baby J ornament. The 2023 ornament is a beautiful moon inspired by California jeweler Harwell Godfrey’s Valley of the Moon collection, with support from fine jewelry store Tiny Gods. The moon is often seen as a symbol of hope and new beginnings which is what we wish for those children battling pediatric cancers and the doctors seeking to find cures.
All ornament purchases and direct donations support the Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Program at Atrium Health Levine Children’s. Donations help to advance brain tumor research, education, and training for Levine Children’s healthcare providers, and provide salary support for nurse practitioners and nurse navigators.
About the Baby J Fund
Beverly and Mark Ladley created the Baby J Ladley Pediatric Brain Tumor Fund in memory of their son, John Francis Ladley, III (“Baby J”), who tragically passed away at the age of 15 months after a courageous battle with a malignant brain tumor. Established in his memory, the Baby J Fund is dedicated to enhancing the level of health care services within the community, enabling families who are coping with cancer to have access to the care they need, close to home. Through their fund, Beverly and Mark were founding partners of the Carolinas Kids Cancer Research Coalition, bringing clinical trials to Levine Children’s Hospital.
