Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County provides expert, personalized and compassionate care for those nearing the end of their life due to a life-limiting illness or disease for which there is no cure. Hospice care focuses on helping the patient feel as comfortable as possible, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Hospice care also extends support and comfort to the patient’s family members and caregivers. Our team of specially trained healthcare professionals and volunteers has been caring for hospice patients and families for more than 35 years, serving Cabarrus, Mecklenburg, Rowan and Stanly counties.
Golf for Hospice benefits Hospice programs, such as Wings to Soar, our community grief counseling program for children, teens and adults, including our children and teen summer grief camp. This bereavement counseling program is provided at no cost to the community. In recent years, our program supported 420 bereaved clients and served 442 grieving children and teens through one-on-one and group counseling sessions.
Over the past 11 years, this event has raised over $423,000 allowing more than 510 children and teens to attend Wings to Soar Camp. Learn more about Wings to Soar Camp here.
