In Memoriam

Sandra Goldman

January 14, 1968 – November 12, 2025

Sandra Goldman’s life was a testament to compassion, dedication, and the quiet power of service. Always ready with a smile, a thoughtful word, or a helping hand, Sandra will be forever remembered by colleagues and loved ones as someone who brought warmth and kindness to every interaction.

Sandra’s commitment to service extended powerfully into her work with Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute (LCI), where she became a beacon of hope and advocacy for countless patients and families. While facing her own journey with breast cancer for 15 years, Sandra never turned down the opportunity to share her personal story, inspiring others to support the programs that were close to her heart.

As a trusted voice and leader on the LCI Patient and Family Advisory Council, Sandra championed the patient perspective by helping to lead the renovation of LCI’s Healing Garden, where patients and families have a place of respite, and designing a “patient to patient” guide, offering newly diagnosed patients practical advice from someone who truly understood their journey.

Passionate about supporting others, Sandra embarked upon an unforgettable skydiving mission to raise donations and awareness for Project PINK — a program dedicated to improving access to free, life-saving mammography screenings for local women – and was honored as the first Project Pink Partner of the Year for her incredible efforts.

In 2024, Sandra organized the Beyond the Pink Runway event to honor and empower breast cancer patients, their physicians, and clinicians, while also raising vital funds for the Sandra Levine Young Women’s Breast Cancer Program.

An advocate for cancer patients, Sandra spearheaded countless fundraising initiatives that led her to climb buildings, skydive, and even create a signature fashion show in support of local breast cancer programs.

Inspiring hope, dignity, and community among those facing cancer, Sandra’s service and philanthropy were marked by courage, creativity, and a relentless drive to make a difference. Her legacy at Levine Cancer Institute will continue to uplift and empower patients, families, and advocates for years to come.
