“These 3.1 miles are the most important I will run all year,” says Adam Miller, about the Cupid’s Cup 5K. Without the care of the cardiac rehabilitation team at Atrium Health, he says his recent running accomplishments, including more than 1,500 miles logged by the avid runner in 2016 alone, would not have been possible. February 11, the date of the Cupid’s Cup 5K, marks a milestone in Adam’s life: the 2nd anniversary of his heart attack. Adam’s participation in the event demonstrates his gratitude for the support and heart-health education he received at Cardiac Rehab that helped him regain his health, both physically and mentally, following his cardiac event.
